Age/Gender Grades is a way of comparing racers on a level playing field, regardless of age or gender. Each result is loosely graded against the world record for the same distance, gender, and age. A higher grade represents a better Age/Gender Graded performance. Many racers are able to maintain a consistent grade over decades even as their actual race times decrease. This is only an approximation since many variables come into play, including course difficulty, exact distance, and actual age vs. division age range. Age/Gender Grades can only be created for running races on road and only when the gender and age is known within 5 years.
The top Age/Gender Grades from the previous 12 months are displayed below. All Age/Gender Grades for a race or name can be seen on the race results or name results page respectively.
